Removing an oil pan gasket isn't the hardest thing in the world but can definitely get time consuming. It's extremely important that the surface is clean and smooth so the the new gasket seals correctly.
The gasket removal process easily took over an hour but it was time well spent.
Here's a shot of the old gasket, a brand new oem gasket, and our prepped oil pan.
And here's a shot of the new gasket properly installed on Nancy's oil pan. Hondabond was placed on the edges.
RestorationCRX Top Tip: Before reinstalling the oil pan, label the torque pattern of the bolts. Trust us, it makes life a hell of a lot easier while under the car. And don't confuse six with nine.
