Interior

Minimalist would be the word to describe the CR-X's interior. Okay so maybe not as "spartan" as a Lotus, but definitely driver-focused. Honda did a great job of designing an interior that provided us with everything we needed and nothing we didn't.
honda crx cracked climate control
For all of Honda's engineering prowess, the way they mounted the climate control to the center console resulted in a lot of cracked units. Finding a replacement won't be easy nor cheap.
Getting back in the car after all these years, we immediately appreciated all the thought that went into the design of the cockpit. The driving position is low, the view out the windshield is wide, and we loved how the center console was angled towards the driver - something that was only found in higher end sports cars in the 90's.

Nancy's interior is pretty clean but there's a few things that will need to be addressed.
  • Cracked climate control unit will need to replaced
  • Seat bolsters will need to be rebuilt
  • All plastics removed so we can clean/vacuum carpet

Hey , interesting project , reminds me of the wheeler dealer show , can't wait to see the final product , BUT , what are you planning to do with the faded paint job ? if you were to go to a body shop that will cost you a lot .
What's the mileage on Nancy ?
Better to get the original head unit for collector status ?
Where are you guys located , I'd like to come and visit.
Thank you

Amro,

First and foremost, thank you for comparing us with Wheeler Dealers. That's one of our favorite shows and and although we're no where as skilled as Ed, we thank you for the compliment :)

You're pretty much spot on with our restoration plans. The car currently has around 205k miles and yes, we have plans to do a full exterior restoration with a fresh coat of paint. It'll definitely cost a lot but we were never in this to profit from the sale of the vehicle.

We're currently looking for for an OEM headunit so if you know someone that has one, let us know!

Our team is located in the San Francisco bay area. Hit us up if you're in town.
