Finding a clean CRX isn't easy. Finding a clean CRX with a clean history is even harder. It took us 3 months before we found Nancy. We often get asked what steps we took before we made our purchase. Here are a few tips. Get a CARFAX report. Not only did our report confirm that the car was accident-free, it also revealed that Nancy had been in Northern California it's entire life. California = less chance of rust. Scrutinize every panel. Look for evidence of re-spray. Get on the floor to inspect the frame. Even go as far as to check if the fenders were rolled to see if the car had been previously modded. In a rush to purchase the car, we made the mistake of meeting the seller at night. Don't ever do this. Even though we had flashlights, always purchase the car in daylight. Our CRX was in great condition but because of an oil leak that we didn't see, we probably could have negotiated a better price.
Finally, there are a lot of CRX-specific issues that you'll learn from reading our blogs. Common problems like the climate control, sunroof, and exhaust manifold studs are things to look for. Hope this helps!
