This past weekend as promised, we began the process of installing our brand new Koni STR.T suspension kit. The first step was to inspect our OEM suspension components for any damages. These can include rusted or missing bolts, torn boots, bent arms, and worn out bushings. Lucky for us, we didn't find anything that needed major attention.
Following up on our suspension purchase here, we finally received the package after a month and half of waiting. We learned that this is to be expected as the restoration industry for Japanese cars isn't as popular as their American counterparts... yet.
As mentioned in our previous stock wheel gap post, it was time to replace Nancy's old shocks and springs. Although the ride was still acceptable, no restoration is complete without a suspension overhaul.
With Nancy completely off jack stands and ready to be driven to the body shop, we realized something very sobering with our bone stock CRX... Its massive wheel gaps.
